Camp Ramah in the Poconos

Summer camp memories last forever. Camp Ramah in the Poconos hired J Sherman Studio to reignite these joyful memories with designs that inspire former campers to pay it forward as donors. The trick is keeping donor appeals fresh and emotionally vibrant: One year, we brought a “camp values” motif to life with real badges for donors and campers. Another year, tear-away postcards became instant mementos. These out-of-the-box designs have become a topic of anticipation across the Ramah community.

Our creativity pays off: Camp Ramah saw a leap of $100,000+ in end-of-year gifts the first time we collaborated, with steady increases since. Last year, Ramah won a national award from JCamp 180 for exceptional growth in planning giving. When asked to share her fundraising secret, former Development Director Missy Stein points to the unique, nostalgia-evoking materials J Sherman Studio helped produce.
